Q: Do I have to be present at home to wait for the housecall doctor? A: As long as there is someone around to open the door for the doctor, that is all that is needed.
Q: How will I be able to learn of the result of the consultation if I am not around? A: The attending physician will either contact you directly via phone or any other means you desire and give you an update.
Q: What is the waiting time for the hosuecall doctor/nurse after requesting for service? A: Waiting time varies depending on your location, the doctor's current location and whether he is currently attending to a patient, and the traffic conditions in between locations. Waiting time will be prolonged if, for example:
- There is rainy weather.
- Activation time coincides with peak hours.
- Traffic congestion occurs along the route of travel.
- The doctor is currently attending to another patient, in which case, a first come first serve queue sequence will be honoured.
Q: How can payment be made, and what modes of payment are available for consultation? A: We accept payment in Cash.
Q: Are there any locations that the housecall doctor do not go? A: The housecall doctor will attend to all patients only on Singapore mainland and Sentosa.
Q: Can the service be cancelled after confirmation? A: Yes, the service can be cancelled after confirmation. However, there will be a cancellation fee of the full amount of the booked assignment to cover our administrative and transportation costs. This is applicable to our home doctor, nurse and allied health visits.
Q: Will medicines be provided during the housecall visit or will I have to buy them myself? A: Our doctors carry a standard assortment of emergency medications during our home visits. It will be best to inform our staff handling the phone line if you require specific medications.
Q: If I feel ill in the middle of the night but don't want to go to the hospital , will there be a doctor available? A: Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Q: If my condition is assessed to be more complicated and require more diagnostic tests, what can the doctor do? A: CMY Medical has partnered with laboratories to provide lab services to our patients. We are able to arrange and schedule for the necessary tests when necessary.
Q: Can the doctor perform death certification at home? A: Yes, the doctor can perform death certification at home if:
- The patient was attended by any of our doctors; or
- The most recent hospital discharge summary of the patient stating cause of death; or
- Well documented history of cancer.
